SAME SAME BUT DIFFERENT

Ron has made several trips to Vietnam as co-author to the Rough Guide to the country, and in the process he has visited every region of the land, checking out innumerable hotels and restaurants and shooting hundreds of images. Several of these images were selected to illustrate the new edition of the Rough Guide. Though Vietnam shares many cultural traits with its neighbours - China, Laos, Cambodia and Thailand, its vivid and unique history, particularly in the 20th century, has given it a character all its own. These images offer glimpses of the landscapes and lifestyles that make Vietnam such a memorable place to visit.
